This ongoing portrait series is my personal tribute to the filmmakers, actors and cinematic visionaries who transformed the language of world cinema.
Each portrait is drawn by hand using pen and ink. Rather than pursuing photographic realism alone, I work with bold lines, dense cross-hatching and expressive contrasts to capture something of the subject’s creative identity. The marks remain visible and deliberately imperfect, reflecting both the tactile character of ink and the deeply human nature of filmmaking.
Together, these portraits form a visual archive of the artists whose work has shaped how generations understand performance, storytelling and the moving image. The series brings figures from different countries, periods and cinematic traditions into one evolving collection, connected by their lasting influence on the medium.
