This series has no fixed theme. No brief, no commission, no planned direction.
Since 2017, whenever an idea has struck me, or something has left a deep impression—a person, a memory, a film, an emotion, or simply a passing thought—I’ve reached for my iPad or sketchbook and tried to give it a form.
Some of these illustrations began with a clear intention. Others appeared almost instinctively, before I fully understood why I needed to make them. They belong to different moments and carry different moods, yet each one holds something personal that stayed with me long enough to become an image.
Mon Caprice, Mon Vœu translates roughly to My Whim, My Wish. Perhaps that is the only thread connecting these works. I made them because I felt like making them, without asking where they belonged or what purpose they might serve.
This is the most personal series on my website. I once thought these works were nothing more than my whims and wishes. Looking at them together now, I realize they are fragments of me... my memories, obsessions, curiosities, and contradictions.
They are me. And somewhere, I am them.
